Figure Review: Sideshow ¼ Scale Premium Format Uruk-Hai Berserker

This is easily the best Premium Format figure that Sideshow Collectibles has dished out from the Lord of the Rings line.

Towering at nearly 24-inch in height (inclusive of its base), the Uruk-Hai Berserker Premium Format figure is an extremely imposing statue that can easily takes its place as the centre piece collectible in any collection.

Figure Sculpt

The figure is well-sculpted and painted. The excellent sculpting and paintwork is reflected in the subtle representations of body contours and skin texture in the figure.

The Exclusive Edition comes with a severed head attached to a switch-out left hand for an alternate display pose. The Regular Edition comes only with the left hand of the Uruk-Hai Berserker clutching two broken arrows.

The pose is very dynamic. It accurately reflects the Uruk-Hai Berserker in the thick of battle action. This is reflected by the bloody weapon on its right hand and the presence of several arrow hits on the Orc.

Statue Base

The base is another marvel. Sculpted in the realistic setting of middle-earth as presented in the LOTR movies, it includes a broken human sword. The inclusion of the broken sword adds realism to the overall statue.

Overall Rating

Overall, this is one of the best Premium Format figures released in 2009. Personally, I ranked it as the best Statue of 2009.

Ratings-wise (without taking production quality control issues into consideration), this deserves a record high score of 5 out of 5. (5/5)
