Figure Review: Kotobukiya 1/7 Scale ArtFx Clone Trooper (Episode II)

This version of the Clone Trooper was shown in “Attack of the Clones”. With their armor styled to be similar to the Mandalorian Armor, there is something nostalgic about this version of the Clone Trooper for me. Probably because it brought back memories of Boba Fett!

Overall Rating

Sculpted in a half-kneeling pose with his long blaster aimed skywards and his fingers on the trigger, this awesome pose of the Clone Trooper accurately personified the professionalism and bravery of these troopers of the Republic; the fact that they are clones not withstanding.

Kotobukiya has again done well with this statue. The white armor comes with slight weathering which is not overdone.

As usual, the base of this statue is accurately chosen to portray the typical terrain that the Clones probably fought on.

Despite being in 1/7 scale, this Clone Trooper can be displayed with any 1/6 scale figures without any noticeable difference in size so much so that the casual or untrained eye will think that they are both of the same scale! To illustrate this point, I posed this ArtFx statue with Sideshow’s 1/6 scale Obi-Wan in Clone Armor figure. The result? Both figure and statue complement each other nicely to setup up a realistic display diorama.

Overall, this is a well-made statue. Even though it is mould in vinyl, it still makes for a near-perfect display piece at a very reasonable price point.

All these plus points warrant that I award a high score of 4 out of 5 to this Kotobukiya ArtFx Statue. (4/5)
